Position:                  Logistics Coordinator

Reports to:              Logistics Manager

FLSA Status:           Non-Exempt

Department:            Manufacturing

Location/Shift:        Burlingame, CA / Day Shift (hours 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM)

 

Essential Function:

            The Logistics Coordinator processes domestic and international shipments, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting strict deadlines.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years shipping experience preferred, including experience with Power Industrial Trucks (certification a plus), pallet jacks (manual and/or electric) and other material handling equipment
  • Knowledge of LTL & International shipment processing a plus
  • Knowledge of Fed Ex & UPS shipping systems, including online applications (e.g. FedEx Ship-Manager and UPS World-Ship)
  • Experience with processing batch shipment labels for FedEx Ship-Manager and UPS World-Ship applications

  • Have a strong working knowledge of PC platform and MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Meet company and departmental standards, including: Customer Requirements, Compliance, Safety, Quality, etc.
  • Follow Lahlouh ISO Quality Procedures and Work Instructions, and complete forms and checklists as necessary
  • Follow Lahlouh policies outlined in the company handbook
  • Work overtime and weekends, as business needs dictate
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Attend department and company meetings
  • Assist in training new and temporary employees

Position Specific Skills & Competencies:

  • Follow team leader instructions for Shipping processes
  • Comfortable with all aspects of the manufacturing workflow
  • Comfortable with general aspects of Mailing / Post Office requirements
  • Count, stack, box, label, transport material appropriately
  • Oversee Helper(s) as required
  • Ability to process shipments for a variety of shipping carriers and meet all deadlines/cut offs
  • Keep jobs and shipping floor clean and organized
  • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to operate Power Industrial Trucks push/pull loaded pallet jacks and/or rolling carts (certification may be required)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds on occasion

Education:

  • High school graduate/GED

Hourly Rate:

  • $18-24/hour commensurate to experience
