Fulfillment Manager

Position:                               Fulfillment Manager

Reports to:                           Director of Fulfillment Sales and Services

FLSA Status:                       Exempt

Location/Shift:                     Burlingame, CA / Day Shift


Position Summary

The Fulfillment Manager is responsible for managing Lahlouh’s California fulfillment operation.    


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in the development of operating plans for warehouse and fulfillment operations in support of organizational goals including facility, equipment, and staff
  • Manage all warehouse personnel to include helping to select, orientation, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; helping to plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
  • Creation, management, and continuous improvement of the workflow process
  • Maintain warehouse in a safe, neat, clean, and orderly fashion
  • Responsible for the planning of warehouse spaces
  • Formulates policies and programs to improve productivity and reduce cost
  • Responsible for accurate inventory management
  • Ensure all order processing is completed daily in order to meet/exceed our customers’ SLA’s
  • Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with an emphasis on the company's interests
  • Ensure all OSHA policies for a safe working environment are met and maintained
  • Promotes awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization

Must Have Skills

  • High level of ERP and WMS experience
  • Proven ability in leading a fulfillment/warehouse/distribution operation to include; receiving, picking, packing & shipping
  • Experience leading a team to meet quality and efficiency metrics
  • Experience with international shipping
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient PC skills including Excel, Word, Email


Considered a Strong Plus

  • Experience using VeraCore WMS
  • Experience working with some combination of cGMP, SPC, six sigma, lean manufacturing, ISO 14000 Environmental
  • APICS certification
  • Experience in Print and Paper converting Industry


Education and Experience

  • Candidates must have a strong knowledge of inbound and outbound warehouse processes with at least five years of experience in a similar environment
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years or related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experiences as a front-line manager in a fulfillment, warehouse, or manufacturing operation

Physical Demands

  • The employee is frequently required to sit, walk, and talk
  • Use of hands and fingers to handle or operate tools or controls
  • Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 45 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to handle heights of up to 15+ feet
