Position: Planner/Production Coordinator
Reports to: Planning Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Planning
Location/Shift: Monroe, Ohio / 1st Shift
Essential Function:
The Planner/Production Coordinator is responsible for engineering the production process of printed materials, from receiving design files to ensuring the final product meets quality standards and is delivered on time, by communicating instructions with internal teams, estimating costs, creating press impositions, assist in scheduling and quality control all aspects of the job.

Position: Planner/Production Coordinator

Essential Function:
The Planner/Production Coordinator is responsible for engineering the production process of printed materials, from receiving design files to ensuring the final product meets quality standards and is delivered on time, by communicating instructions with internal teams, estimating costs, creating press impositions, assist in scheduling and quality control all aspects of the job.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Planner, estimator, Job Engineer in Commercial Print environment.
- Working knowledge of PC Windows Microsoft platform, Print ERP, including Excel, Word, and Adobe Suite
Job Duties and General Expectations:
- Create detailed job tickets with specifications, including paper stock, color profiles, finishing options, and quantities.
- Manage project timelines and deadlines, communicating progress to clients and internal teams.
- Monitor production schedules to identify potential delays and proactively address issues.
- Provide accurate cost estimates to sales, including potential variations based on design changes.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Manage project timelines and deadlines, communicating progress to sales and internal teams.
- Monitor production schedules to identify potential delays and proactively address issues.
- Follow Lahlouh ISO Quality Procedures and Work Instructions, and complete forms and checklists
- Follow Lahlouh policies
- Work extended hours, as business needs dictate
- Attend daily production meetings
Position Specific Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of job estimating and layouts, purchasing material and buyouts
- (Offset, digital, large format, direct mail, bindery, and finishing)
- Verify estimate specifications and art specifications match
- Estimate job costs
- Price change orders
- Experience using Pace ERP is a plus,
- Knowledge or experience with Heidelberg’s Prepress system Prinect and Signa Station, is a plus
Education:
- Post secondary degree/diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience in the Print Industry is required.
