Position: Account Executive
Reports to: Senior Director of Promotions
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Promotional Products
Location/Shift: Lahlouh, Inc. (Burlingame, CA) / Day
Position Summary:
The Promotional Products Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and closing profitable promotional products and merchandise solutions through direct customer contact. The Account Executive serves as the primary contact for the client during the sales process and works with our internal support team to ensure that client’s needs are met. The Account Executive collaborates with other verticals within Lahlouh to develop sales strategies for Lahlouh accounts to maximize sales of all product categories.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a healthy client base
- Conduct business with acute verbal and written communication skills
- Bring in new business by prospecting, cold calling, networking, account infiltration and participating in the marketing programs offered
- Proactively meet with clients to discuss current and future projects
- Strategize with internal Sales partners on shared accounts to create best presentation and pitch for clients
- Clearly and proactively communicate with customers regarding spec clarification, pricing, scheduling, vendor complications, and any changes or challenges that may occur throughout the process
- Provide product samples and respond to Customer project inquiries expeditiously
- Gather specifications and request estimates from vendors
- Provide creative options in each presentation pertaining to Client’s needs
- Review estimates and prepare quote letters with appropriate markup
- Coordinate pre-production meetings with internal stakeholders for large multi-faceted projects
- Ensure accurate and complete job specifications are obtained from Customer and relayed to Project Manager
- Check virtual and preproduction sample proofs prior to sending to Customer
- Provide accurate quarterly projections
- Collaborate with internal teams for cross selling opportunities
- Maintain a pulse on industry trends through attending conferences, tradeshows, and seminars
Required Skills and Experience:
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (written and oral)
- Possess a solid understanding and functional knowledge of Sales, Business, Marketing and Communications
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, Adobe Illustrator, and Sage or ESP
- 2+ years Sales experience in the Promotional Products or Print industry
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent related work experience
Salary:
- $60-150K+ annually (100% commission after 1st year guarantee, commissions average 7-9%)
